The strawberry spinach salad is a fun way to get kids to eat spinach. I really wanted to know how to make this salad after someone brought it to a group dinner. Ever since then, I've made it a lot of times, and every time I bring it somewhere, people ask me for the recipe.
– 1 quart strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced – 10 ounces fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size piece – ¼ cup almonds, blanched and slivered
Dress it up: With a whisk, mix in a medium bowl the sugar, oil, vinegar, onion, paprika, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and Worcestershire. Keep it in the fridge for an hour with the lid on.
Put strawberries, spinach, and almonds in a big bowl. This will be your salad.
Dip the salad in the sauce and toss it to coat.
Before serving, put it in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.
