Simone Biles rocks! Watch her amazing performance in Ohio during the Gold Over America Tour!

GOAT. Story. Idol. Those are some words that people use to describe athlete Simone Biles. The accomplished Olympian will be putting on a world-class gymnastics show with Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Fred Richard, Hezly Rivera, Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos, and more in Northeast Ohio later this year.

What is the Gold Over America Tour?

On Oct. 27, Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour will stop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The tour’s website says to prepare for a pop concert-style spectacle featuring athletic brilliance, championship journeys, and of course, the Gold Squad dancers. The letters GOAT stand for Biles’ position as the best of all time.

The first tour went out in 2021, and this is the second one. The goal of both young and old audiences is to show strength, resilience, and drive. On Nov. 2, the tour will make its second stop in Ohio, this time in Cincinnati.

Who is Simone Biles?

Biles was born in Columbus, but she grew up in a foster home near Houston, Texas, before being officially adopted by her maternal grandpa and his wife. At age 27, she has won more awards than any other dancer in history, male or female. She has 40 wins at the Olympics and the World Championships.

The highest civilian award in the United States is called the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She got it in the year 2022. As of December 2023, Biles was making $7.1 million a year, making her the 16th highest-paid female athlete in the world. She was the first gymnast to be in the top 10 for at least 12 years.

She is the first woman to win two all-around Olympic titles in different Games. She is the third woman to do so. Six of her nine Olympic medals are gold. She won 40 medals at the Olympics and the World Championships, more than any other gymnast, male or female. She also has six world wins, which is two more than any other woman.

She got a medal in every event at the 2018 Worlds. On uneven bars, she got a silver medal, along with golds on vault and floor and a bronze on beam. During the summer, she won every title at the U.S. competitions.

Biles has also changed her sports; Biles had earlier competed in Artistic Gymnastics but had switched to the more dangerous Balance Beam. It is for this reason that Yurchenko has five skills named after her, of them being the Yurchenko double pike vault. That is why you get to know that very few men can manage to pull it off. Not only did she do these things first, but they are to such an advance and so hard, that no one as yet has been able to get the better of her.

Simone Biles shines light on mental health

Biles was quite frank about her issues with mental health when she withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 which was expected. Hampson also explained how to handle the ‘twisties’ which is a mental barrier that gymnasts may experience. The pressure and demand for her was high and she had to be alone due to COVID restrictions which aggravated her worry. This made her lose her bearing in the air, and as a result, had to look for someone else to follow. Nancy Armour contributed this to USA TODAY.

Biles had to avoid possible danger to her health and, so, she withdrew from all the finals, including those at the Summer Olympics of the said year with the exception of one event. She said this year’s Olympics, she prioritized her weekly therapy sessions unlike how she used to do in the past Olympics she participated in. It seems almost funny to me to realize how much I have advanced, even from Tokyo and especially, from being 19 years old in Rio. I am happy for her because she worked so hard given that I never expected to be back on a world stage.

Who is Simone Biles’ husband?

Owens was a football player for the Houston Texans before he started dating the gymnast Biles. After they got married he joined the Green Bay Packers as a football player though the team was still in search of its first-ever win. He now plays in the Bears. Owens was not only able to return the favor during the Olympic Games in 2024 when the Bears allowed him to miss “a couple of days” of training for his wife in Paris. On the benches of Wisconsin, Biles was always a supportive wife, who encouraged him.

Owens made a lot of noise when he said he had never heard of Biles before they met. I never really paid any attention to gymnastics,” Owens said last year as a guest on “The Pivot” show. He didn’t watch the 2016 Olympics, when Biles was one of the biggest stars, because he wasn’t interested in gymnastics. “It piqued my curiosity.”
